Academic and Professional Services Steering Groups

The Academic and Professional Services Steering Groups have been established to work on behalf of the joint Governing Bodies' Strategy Steering Group. The establishment of these groups is for the purpose of ensuring professional services and academic staff are informed and consulted throughout the process and their voices heard.

Academic Steering Group (ASG)

The Academic Steering Group (ASG) has been established to work on behalf of the Joint Governing Bodies Strategy Steering Group, with authority delegated to this group by the TU Project Management Group.

The establishment of the ASG, representing the academic communities of the two partner institutes, confirms the full commitment of each partner institute's academic staff to the development of the technological university. Its purpose is to engage the academic community, to establish trust and commitment to the technological university project and to establish confidence in the process.

Professional Services Steering Group (PSSG)

The Professional Services Steering Group (including professional, management and support staff) has been established as part of the TU project governance structure and with authority delegated to it by the Joint Management Steering Group.

The Role of the PSSG is to oversee and provide strategic direction and leadership in the development of an integrated plan to support and facilitate the development of professional and support services through each of the phases of the TU development process.
